For the love of God, Dodgers, will you please win this weekend?

The tarp was less of a fiasco today, since they'd figured it all out yesterday

Dear Dodgers:

I spent my hard earned money to watch you win this year. I spent $270 just for parking this season. I attended at least 33 home games. I lost my voice several times and developed an aneurysm from screaming so loud. I’ve probably eaten my weight in Dodger Dogs, I’ve bought every Dodger shirt you have available in the stadium store and I have more Dodger fleece blankets than one can store in their home. I sat through rain delays, extra inning games, and 8 game losing streaks. I stayed till the bottom of the 9th and cheered even when you were losing by 10 runs. I took off work the first week of April and attended every one of your rainy soggy tarp covered home games despite being one of 1000 cold, wet people in the stadium waiting through multiple rain delays only to see you lose. (See above) I have had beer spilled on me, beach balls shoved in my face, and I have been yelled at by parents of small children. I have tolerated sitting in front of drunk sweaty frat boys who think they are huge fans and can’t even name half the players on the team yet still try to quote stats as if they are a walking almanac. I have sat in traffic for probably a week’s worth of time on the 110 freeway just to get in and out of the ballpark. I named my car after you. I have used every bit of my spending money to see you, support you, and watch you win. So please, please, I am begging you, please pull it off this weekend.

Your loyal and desperate fan,

Malingering

At least your guys made it to the post season…with the help of a few ex-Giants…not to mention Ned Colletti, the former Giants assistant GM…the Giants, like last year, tanked like a sub with a hole in it…at 51 years of age, they last won the World series the year I was born…
