mature beyond their years
This is what I don’t understand. When I was 14, I got white cotton panties in a pack of 6 from Target and that was the end of it. This was not an issue to be questioned. Maybe it’s because I don’t care much about my own appearance but I always thought if you were going to spend the extra money to buy satiny panties or thongs, someone else besides myself better be there to appreciate them (not my mother). Otherwise, there were much cooler things to buy with the limited money I had. So when I see these girls shopping, and the ONLY thing in their hands are Victoria’s Secret bags, I start to feel very old and confused. Is this their primary shopping spot because they are showing their panties off to others? Why are they walking proudly with their pink stripped bags in front of their voice-crackling zitty male classmates rather than feigning embarrassment at boys seeing their panties? Or are bras and panties really what’s on the minds of 14 year old girls these days? And if so, why? Does that Victoria’s Secret PINK asswriting line have the power of hypnosis? Perhaps every time we see PINK that isn’t pink, we are actually being brainwashed. I think that’s the most reasonable hypothesis. They need to be stopped.

Holy damn. I’m in my early twenties and am engaged to be married, and I’ve STILL never made a serious purchase from Victoria’s Secret. I don’t know if I should feel old, or if I should think these girls are growing up too fast…?

Hey, as a Canadian, I am really bitter that Victoria’s Secret is not in Canada. But I digress. As a mother of two children now, and one being a girl, I cannot understand why these girls are shopping at that establishment. True, the lingerie is simply amazing, but for christsakes, these girls are not old enought to vote, and by the looks of things, probablly not old enough to drive!
C’mon parents, let’s get a grip here and start buying stuff at Target for young ladies. By the way, also bitter that there is no Target in Canada!!!!!!! Well, at least we have Wal-Mart. It keeps some of us happy.

I went in to Vici’s for a dare, i barely walked in and felt dirty. My curiousity peeked to it’s all time high, when i saw a freakin NINE YEAR OLD! hold a thong to herself. You have to be kidding me! I rumaged through the PILE of thongs and noticed the sizes. More than three fourths of the so called “clothing” was a size zero and if possible a negative. They could fit a nine year old! And don’t worry, i’m sure when those girls are walking down the middle of the sidewalk, and everyone is looking at them, yeah that means the dirty old men who may have kids of their own, can see them too, i’m sure they will walk with their heads held high. So be proud young girls! you are representing tomorrow’s future. Who knows these girls may run for president, or be the next Monica L.! Who knows!

Although Victoria’s secret does sell some pretty risque lingerie, it also sells a variety of underwear that is appropriate for all ages…and very cute. I say…let them shop!

as a teenager, i think you guys are waaayyy over-reacting. Just because times are different now then when you were all our age, it doesn’t make the things of today wrong. People now-a-days hold different values, and yes, with all the media and celebs and clothing lines, things like sex and risque clothing is more common than it ever was, but it’s just a part of today’s culture. Just like when Elvis Presely first started tantalizing young audiences with his swinging hips and parents were outraged, teens today are captivated by newer trends, just as our children in the next generation will be captivated by something else that, perhaps, we won’t understand and might even think is innapproriate. People have a right to purcase their own underwear, and i don’t know about the rest of you, but i know for my friends, and myself included, we look and feel better whil wearing underwear that fits nicely, accents our better features, and has a cute style to it. Also, i remember when victoria’s secret used to be a langerie store which highlighted sex and desire, but the newer pink line is still sexy but not about sex. they’r much more innocent then they used to be, opening the realm to a whole new generation.
in laymen’s terms,
yooooo,
chillll out, it’s jusss’ panties.
srrry that i rambleddd

Pregnancy and sexually diseases still happen, just like the old days.
You’re just fooling yourself if you think you can look sexy and innocent about sex.
You’re also fooling yourself if you think everyone over the age of 27 wears granny pants.

a’kelllll - oh baby now that i know what you are wearing under those lowrises and babydolls that show your navel i want to stick my hand in your ‘jusss panties’ and run my tongue all over your Pink brand A-cup bra you paid a whole babysitting jobs pay on _ u really turn me on talking about your underwear like its no big thing and everyone should enjoy them
[This has been a test of the Emergency Reality System. Had there been a real 14 year old being drooled over by a real older pervert, you would have been offended. Please keep that in mind next time you speak in “laymen’s terms” about accenting your better features… your girlfriends are NOT the only ones looking. Thank you.]

Following today’s culture of sex and risque clothing should take you far. Just remember that only famous people can afford to go to rehab in Malibu.
