I have never understood the appeal of having food with eyeballs and top hats try to sell itself to the public. Mr. Peanut, the KooKooRoo chicken (winking no less!), all disturb me enough to make it easy to avoid eating them. I can’t decide if the Pillsbury doughboy is better or worse, on one hand he seems to be raw which at least separates him from the actual product one would be eating, but on the other hand we know that he is about to suffer temperature of 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes in a greasy oven, which seems like an unfair fate for the pudgy little guy.
