santa monica easter sunday 2006

So this blondie driving this brand new BMW sport utility luxury vehicle down Ocean suddenly spies something she likes, so she pulls her SULV to the curb in the bike lane (like so) and gets out.
stupid bitch of the day:

All of the traffic behind her stops (as seen above), but she gets out of the car and walks off so they’re all swerving around her trying not to hit the thing. I mean it is one thing to park illegally, but quite another to not even have the decency to pull over to the curb OR put on your hazards, (hazards in LA are the equivalent of a handicapped placard on a student driver car driven by an 85 year old blind woman, i.e. I can do whatever I want). What could have possibly prevented her for pulling over in a fashion parallel to the curb? Entitlement, I guess. The world is her parking lot.
Then I look to see what was SO important that she couldn’t take 3 seconds to get her BMW out of traffic because she would risk losing a chance at seeing it. And it was this.
stupid bitch of the day: (continued)

She wanted to take her photo with this drunk guy who was laying on the grass dressed as an Easter bunny. So she gets out the camera and gives it to her friend, who had absolutely no idea how to use a digital camera.

I stood there for a few minutes, waiting for them to run back to the car and get in with a “whoops, we’re so spontaneous and funny and rich” giggle, but they didn’t. They just kept posing with this mangy bunny and his Glad bags full of belongings. Here I was waiting for asscrack to pop out as it seemed like it would be appropriate at this point but no such luck.
