I've grown up a huge sports fan, going to Rams and Angels games since I was in kindergarten, and I remember being furious when the Angels traded Jim Fregosi (ok, so it was for Nolan Ryan - give me a break, I still had my baby teeth). I don't think this is any worse than just rooting for the "team" regardless of who is on the field, or hating a former player who was traded. Don't get me wrong, the Angels are still my team, but I am also happy to see former Angels doing well elsewhere - and this isn't because I want to sleep with David Eckstein.
