Last I heard, baseball was a team sport. Enough with home run records and individual numbers. It’s starting to drive me insane.
I am trying to watch the Dodger game, which is bad enough because I’m sick and it’s on FOX which means no Vin Scully and lots of idiocy coming spewing from the TV. Rather than call the game, they talk about “what I would do if I caught Bonds’s 756th home run ball.” They’re interrupting the Dodger at bats to show each Bonds at-bat. Even if he did hit the home run today, it still wouldn’t break the damn record, so why must we interrupt the current game to show Bonds ground out to the pitcher?

And wouldn’t it be better if the Giants were actually doing well this season? They focus on Bonds because that’s all SF has going for them.
I hate games without Vin!

a couple of months ago I was watching an Angels game on Fox and they kept breaking away every single fucking time Bonds was up to bat – if they think that Bonds has a single fan in the country who doesn’t have “Giants” tattooed on their ass, they are wrong

What really pissed me off yesterday was that Fox interrupted the game for a freakin’ intentional walk. As soon as the catcher stood up and put his arm out signalling the free pass, Fox should’ve dropped the at-bat. But in true Fox “fuck you we’ll show you what we think you want whether you want it or not” fashion they stuck with it through 4 pitches. Even one of the asshole announcers at the Dodger game was clueless as to why. Not McCarver, the other asspipe who was calling the game.
Bastiges!
