Malingering’s World

Why does it all seem to happen at once? Things are okay, life is manageable, and then WHAM all of the sudden everyone around you pulls down their pants and takes a big dump right on your head.

I’m not exactly sure what happened. I work at my normal work job, and it’s work and it pays the bills so fine I can tolerate that well enough. It’s the other stuff that’s getting to me.

Like the hand. It’s been 3 weeks and the hand is still aching. I still can’t carry things and it hurts to type. Then I got a phone call and tried to answer the phone with the hand, which was stupid because I no longer enjoy the benefits of opposable thumbs. So I drop the phone, and it breaks, and I have to buy a new one.

I’m also apparently on the nerves of different groups of people: one group for being sloppy and not anal enough, and the other for being anal and not sloppy enough. And both groups are not pleased with me right now.

I went to the Dodgers game on Thursday and Friday. They lost both games. Friday’s didn’t depress me as much because after the 6th inning I was in the bathroom, sick to my stomach with fevers and chills. I think God poisoned me. Now I’m spending a beautiful Saturday afternoon inside with stomach cramps, trying to keep down applesauce.
