I have to say (although I know everyone already knows it) that Vin Scully is a Class Act. They were talking about him during the ESPN broadcast last night (I'm amazed that he doesn't have an analyst or anyone assisting him during his broadcasts!) and they had asked him how he would call the home run, should it happen in Dodger Stadium. He said he'd be completely silent, so the fans listening at home could hear the cheers and the boos.

What a dude.

I love Plaschke's idea too. And all Dodger fans should arrive to the game wearing a shirt with just an asterisk on it, to symbolize that the record is questionable.

I saw this week in baseball's salute to Cal Ripken and Tony Gwynn - both class acts. That's what a hall of famer looks like! I sooo hope barry doesn't get in after retirement 5.
