chocolate milk
My boyfriend and I went to a coffee shop today and he ordered chocolate milk. They said “we don’t have that here.” A quick scan of the menu showed the following items:
milk
cafe mocha
iced mocha
chocolate cappuccino
blended mocha cappuccino
hot chocolate
Well pardon my rudeness but my initial and uncensored reaction was “how can you not have chocolate milk?”
She said “we don’t have it.”
I said “you have milk, right?”
“Yes.”
“And you have some sort of chocolate flavoring, syrup or powder, right?”
“Um, let me check.”
“Well what would you do if I ordered a hot chocolate?”
No answer.
“Or a mocha?”
“Okay, we can make chocolate milk. Do you want whole milk or 2%?”
Sigh.

best is going to the same coffee place for 2 years and having them say they don’t have it each time.
having it with 1/2 a cup of ice is also novel.
