Hello? Mike? I hope this is your email.

Heeyyyyyy. This is Colleen Smith. It feels like its been a while. I’m writing
for a couple reasons. Perhaps you’ve heard that our mutual friend, Robert, is
no longer my boyfriend. I don’t know what to say about that to you over the
internet. Lots to says and at the same time I’m tired of saying things about
it. Truely, though, I am very pleased. I feel free to be Colleen. Robert, though,
is thoroughly sad. Its not something I can make better for him. It isn’t a
decision that will be undone.

Mike, in all my freetime I finally read that book, “No. 1 Ladies Detective
Agency.” I must admit that I was skeptical. Do remember that book-something
you picked up at the library and gave to me? It was a fantastic novel. I
loved it. Botswana, Africa! That book served up a rich savory flavor of the
culture and beautiful glimse of that world. Thank you for the book!

So, I’m reading and finding many new and new old friends. I’m enjoying my
girly friends. Its nice to feel connected again. I love Idaho. I don’t want
to lose contact with you. If you come through Idaho please find me. It
would be fun to catch up and reassuring to hug a good friend.

Hi. Sorry, this isn’t Mike’s email, though about 50 other people have
sent me e-mails for him. If you find him, tell him to tell his friends
to update their address books.

I guess I was getting fed up. She didn’t write back.
